This seminar will focus on the genesis of chronic neuropathic and inflammatory pain associated with canine osteoarthritis (OA). Neuropathic pain mechanisms and mitigation of neuropathic pain will be a focus of the discussion, with an emphasis on understanding potential cannabinoid targets in the pain response. A current review of CBD use in canine OA will also be provided, with a brief discussion of other ongoing pain studies in dogs and cats.

The product was developed based on scientific evidence and proven safety and is veterinarian-approved. Clinical trials at Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine have showed significant improvement in dogs treated with this hemp CBD+CBDA product as compared with those given a placebo. Five additional clinical studies are currently underway to test the product on dogs with the most common signs of discomfort. The product comes in small and large palatable chews and oils for picky eaters.
