Adequate hydration is always important, and healthy cats typically manage their water intake to meet their needs. However, some of your feline patients, including older cats and those with an underlying disease that disrupts water balance, may need help to stay hydrated. During this webinar, you’ll learn what you need to know about helping cats achieve adequate water intake.
Why optimizing hydration can be particularly important in cats with diseases that are predisposed to water loss, especially in older cats in which age is likely to interfere with normal homeostatic mechanisms
Understand the importance of achieving a dilute urine in cats with lower urinary tract disease and to consider not only water intake but solute load in the diet
Examine how incorporating high-moisture diets and/or use of a highly palatable, water-based supplement can effectively increase overall water intake
Discover what you really need
to know about hydration in cats.
