Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) reduces swelling and inflammation, stimulates new blood vessel growth in inflamed/healing areas, and multiplies stem cells and recruits them to damaged tissue. HBOT is the only treatment that works by delivering high concentrations of oxygen under pressure, which allows for accelerated healing and anti-inflammatory properties that are not possible under normal physiologic conditions. Applications for HBOT include wound treatment, preoperative oxygenation, postoperative swelling, pancreatitis, anemia, IBD, head and spinal cord trauma, and many more conditions seen in general practice. HBOT should not be used in patients with seizure disorders, pneumothorax, and high fevers or patients receiving certain medications such as some chemotherapy agents, opioids, and/or alcohol or topically applied petroleum-based products. With appropriate training, promotion, and incorporation into existing services, HBOT can provide an excellent growth opportunity and return on investment for general practices as well as specialty hospitals. {{webinarsautomatedemailsthankyou::custom_printable_pdf_copy}} https://cdn.brief.vet/webinars/Sechrist/Sechrist+Webinar%2C+Top+5+Takeaways.pdf
