The treatment recommendations and prognosis of localized histiocytic sarcoma in dogs is influenced by its location but, while we know treatment of some subtypes can result in survival times over a year, there is little known about those cases that involve the spleen. A new retrospective study looks at 14 dogs with splenic histiocytic sarcoma with the goal of identifying prognostic factors and developing evidence-based recommendations for therapy.
