Giardia spp are a common cause of diarrhea in small animals but, given how hard they can be to find under the microscope, it’s not always an easy diagnosis. A new study compares the results of an in-clinic Giardia immunochromatographic strip test with double-centrifugation fecal floatation, then examines the same samples using the gold standard PCR and ELISA methods of detection.
