Bromethalin rodenticide ingestion can cause neurologic signs ranging from mild ataxia to seizures, depression and death. In this retrospective study, the cases of 192 dogs with a history of bromethalin ingestion were reviewed in order to examine how they presented, the different treatment modalities implemented, and the survival rate in those dogs with clinical signs.

Read on for a review of the two potential syndromes seen with bromethalin toxicity, as well as tips on treating these sometimes critical patients.
